Every real skill was new once. There was a time "social media manager" wasn't a real job title, before an entire industry grew up around it and made the line completely normal on a resume. The same shift is happening right now with app building, and most people haven't caught up to it yet.

I added "App Builder" to my own resume, and it's not a stretch or an exaggeration. Describing an app idea in plain English and getting a real, working version back the same day is a genuine, demonstrable skill now, the same way knowing how to run ad campaigns or manage a content calendar became legitimate resume lines once those skills became real and valuable.

This matters for anyone hesitant to add something similar, worried it might look unearned without a formal degree behind it. The skill isn't writing code by hand. The skill is knowing how to take an idea, describe it clearly, test it, and iterate until it actually works — a real, learnable, demonstrable process that doesn't require a computer science background to prove.

If you've actually built something — even one working app, even a simple one — that's a legitimate line to add. The skill exists now, independent of whether traditional hiring processes have fully caught up to recognizing it yet. Being early to name it is exactly how the people who added "social media manager" early ended up ahead of everyone who waited for permission to call it a real skill.
